Thermalution Surf Series (15M)
Thermalution® is by far the best heated wetsuit product available on the market! It has the smallest battery size of all heated wetsuit products, and with a weight of only 1.5lbs, it is worn virtually unoticed beneath your wetsuit or drysuit. Of all heated wetsuit products currently available, Thermalution® has the capacity to heat up in the shortest amount of time (under a minute), while been able to last for the longest duration (maximum 150 minutes per use). With three levels of adjustable heat, you can adjust the temperature of the thermal layer within your wetsuit, up to 75ft beneath the surface, giving you absolute control of the amount of warmth in your suit.
Thermalution® uses Far Infrared Ray technology, which doesn't just heat your skin like many other products. Thermalution® actually heats deep within your core, giving you improved blood circulation, enhanced cell and tissue regeneration, pain relief, and comfort to the entire body. You will be amazed at how much more comfortable you will feel after turning on the suit to even only the lowest of three settings. Once you have a session in a Thermalution, you won't ever want to venture out on a winter day without one!
Similar to any base layer clothing (like Under Armor®) Thermalution Undersuits can be worn beneath any wetsuit, dry suit, or jacket. It's most effective to wear directly on your skin.
Wearing beneath a wetsuit
Thermal protection of a wetsuit is limited to insulate your body and minimize heat loss. The thicker the neoprene, the warmer you'll feel, but you may get extremely exhausted by putting a thick wetsuit on. With our Thermalution® Power Heated Undersuit, you can say good-bye to a thick wetsuit and enjoy a fun cold water sport with a thinner wetsuit, because Thermlation generates heat instead of only been able to reduce heat loss. By wearing Thermalution® Power Heated Undersuit beneath your wetsuit it distributes the heat through whole body by the water underneath your wetsuit.
Battery and Controller
Thermalution Heated Undersuits use two 7.4 volt Lithium Polymer batteries. Battery Size: 4x2x0.5 Inches.
These are the same type of batteries found in your mobile phone or mp3 player. There is no danger of radiation, electric shock or explosion from these batteries. Batteries are compact and lightweight and are positioned outside of the undersuit at the sides of the chest, under the arms. It offers maximum freedom of movement and it's easy to change batteries.
Thermalution micro controllers are easy to use. To turn on the undersuit push and hold button for 2 sec. On start up it displays a green light and starts temperature on low. Push once more to change to medium temperature with an orange light indication and once more to change to high with a red light indication. To turn the undersuit off simply push and hold button for 2 sec.

Plenty of battery and heat, but not in right place

The larger coil should be in the arch of the back. That is the pivot point for all movement, it is in the Kidney area and its where you are most likely to been collecting water, especially if you are on a short board. Warming the shoulders is not a core warming.
Can not leave home without it

Bought 2 setups last winter for myself and girlfriend. We both teach kiteboarding and there are days we are out for hours either standing in the cold or sometimes teaching off a boat in cold water and wind. It was an expensive gamble to get 2 set ups but we are both totally happy with these and they have allowed us to downsize our wetsuits for more comfort. I got 2 sets of batteries because I sometimes go out for 3 hours then come in meet the next client(s) and go right back out. So I switch out batteries. This setup has made it much easier on us. Thanks...and highly recommend the product.
battery life is longer than expected
Posted by Unknown on 29th Oct 2013
Pros: Battery life lasted longer than the listed time, which is a great thing.
Cons: The lower heating coil is less effective for me because the way the shirt fits on my body. The upper heating coil is pressed up against my back but the lower one isnt as tight of a fit as I would like.
Well made, and works perfect.

This is my third heated surf shirt, and I am really happy and impressed. My first two were quicksilvers model. (You can see my review on Amazon.com. User pb4sc) The thermulation product is better built, 3 temp settings are awesome. (I have only used low so far) 2 batteries means longer water time. Built way better than the quicksilver model Fits great. My only wish was that it would have a turtle neck. A little pricey, but still a great product.
Tried out a friend's Thermalution

Tried out a friend's Thermalution heated wetsuit for the first time the other day. So legit! I was able to stay in the water so much longer and actually be warm! Quality stuff.
BEST HEATED RASHGUARD

Tried another brand, it was worthless. Now I wear the Thermulation Surf Series under my wetsuit for bodysurfing and photography at The Wedge in Newport Beach - works just as advertised! Lets me surf and shoot year-round. Thank you, heatedwetsuits.com !!!
I'm lovin it...

I’m lovin it, especially when the wind is blowing. I hope someone is working on one for the front and back of the torso. As Advertised, Great Product.
Reasonably warm but not hot
Posted by Paul Manchester on 12th Mar 2013
I have used the heated shirt under my 4-3, year-old wetsuit for surfing in water that is about 50 degrees. It does not work as well as I had hoped. Heating the core is the stated objective, and it may do that fairly well. It feels warm to hot on my back while in use. However, by around 1.5 hours in the water my toes begin to go numb, so the heating of the core/trunk is not as effective as I would hope. This is while on medium setting. If I use it on high, it is too hot on my back.
Overall it is better than not having it, but it does not provide a qualitatively different experience in cold water. Ultimately I still get cold by the end of the session, just not as cold

I flip on the switch and pretend I'm in Hawaii! I love the way the Thermalution works as well as the idea of it. I am a lot warmer when surfing in the frigid Nor Cal water. The only reason I don't give four stars is because the battery packs on either side are a little uncomfortable on my ribs. I wonder if they could put them on the back? I'm sure it's been thought of and might even be more uncomfortable there. Perhaps they just take some getting used to. Either way, totally worth it!
Warm enough for New Hampshire

I've worn in under my 4/3 until just after xmas and now under my 5/4/3. Plenty Warm. Wish they had heated gloves and boots!
It's reinvigorated my passion for winter surfing. 42 years old was pretty much over it until I got this. I'll even do double session now.
Went with this brand after reading about problems with the Quicksilver version.
