All of the members of the Heated Wetsuits Team surf, ride, or paddle on a regular basis. We ride year round, rain or shine, and we stay warm in the harshest conditions. Check out the videos and images below from some of our recent sessions. For our most recent sessions check out our Facebook page.
Some video from our second trip to showshoe in Januray. Not exactly the best conditions you could imagine. We got rained on twice but we still had a blast. They had lots of slopes open and we got a really nice house just a walk through the woods from Silvercreek slopes.
The first day/night at Snowshoe we got 12 inches of snow and spent the day finding fresh powder. Wind Chill factor of -10 degrees kept the crowds down. We wore our heated vests and stayed toasty warm!

The Thermalution Heated Wetsuit Vests are incredible! I am one of those people who always has a hard time staying warm once the water gets below 50 degrees. Even in the best wetsuit, after a few hours surfing/kiting I start to get extremely chilled, especially on those hard offshore wind days. The Thermalution changes this completely for me. As soon as I start to feel chilled, I will turn the Thermalution Vest on low, and I start to warm up! Unless it's an extremely cold day, I can turn the suit on and off this way during my session and keep me out in the cold water for hours!
I have used the Thermalution in a wide range of sports, including surfing, kiteboarding, SUP, spearfishing, scuba diving, and freediving. Thermalution is the only heated wetsuit product I can wear comfortably that actually keeps me warm, rather than leaving me wanting more. Thermalution is also the only heated wetsuit product I've been able to wear that does not interfere with my kiting harness. The batteries are thin enough and high enough that they sit out of the way of my harness while kiting and my arms while paddling in the surf.
The Thermalution can get very hot. Even on the low setting, the amount of warmth is really incredible. When wearing a heated wetsuit surfing or kiteboarding, I usually do not need to use more than the low setting. If my suit gets a flush, I might use the medium setting for a few minutes to heat up the water inside my wetsuit, but then go right back to the low heat setting. On days when it is not extremely cold, I still wear the Thermalution and use it sparingly as I need to.
For diving, the Thermalution is perfect for those Thermocline dive sites with much colder water down below than on the top. We had a double Thermcline two years ago at around 110ft, and the suits were extremely helpful. We could adjust our temperature in our heated wetsuits as we needed for each varying water level. Many times I will get too warm once returning to shallower water for a safety stop. Being able to turn my heated wetsuit on and off at the push of a button is awesome for times like this!
I'm hooked on Thermalution and wear one any time there is a chance I might get cold on the water. It allows me to stay out in the water longer, wear a thinner wetsuit, and most importantly, stay warm when I otherwise would be shivering. Many times, that makes the difference between having fun and not having fun. More days in and on the water per year, having fun....that's what it's all about for me. Thermalution heated wetsuits help make that possible!
The Isurus line of wetsuits is the lightest and warmest line of wetsuits I've ever worn. The materials and neoprene used in the construction of the Isurus wetsuits are far superior to other top name brand wetsuits. You can really feel the difference the moment you touch the wetsuit. The wetsuits texture feels soft, sleek, and extremely light!
Putting the suit on can be a bit tough the first few times. The "doggie poop bag trick" is extremely helpful. After a few sessions, I noticed my suit started to form to the shape of my body more. After five times wearing an Isurus suit, it gets much easier to put on and pull off.
The I-Soldier 5/4mm feels lighter than the other named brand 4/3mm suits I have owned and tried. Normally, switching to my 4/3, boots, gloves, and hood means I'm riding a slightly larger board from my standard 6'0". I just feel too heavy with all the rubber and end up taking a lot of late drops. The sweet spot has always seems so tough to find once the thicker wetsuit goes on. But, even when wearing the I-Soldier 5.4.5, I'm able to get into waves easily on my 6'0" Thruster. Even in the middle of winter, I can charge with my shortest board, without a problem.
The compression technlogogy used by Isurus makes these wetsuits feel as if they are giving your arms and legs a hug. There's no chance for water to come in the sleeves, giving my arms much more paddling strength throughout the day. The airprene neoprene runs all the way through the groin and legs, keeping you warm in areas that matter most. Not to mention the hood.....so comfy!
The Isurus Wetsuits are top knotch! I'm stoked to have mine!

Heated Wetsuits is the way of the future. After surfing, kiteboarding, and diving with my Thermalution I have no desire to go into the cold without one. Seconds after you turn it on you can feel the warmth. For surfing, it is perfect for those cold mornings when the wind is blowing hard offshore. The batteries are positioned under the arms so that they are out of the way when you are paddling; as well as resting high enough that they are out of the way of your harness for kiteboarding or windsurfing. It has changed the way that I kiteboard in cold weather. Before, I wouldn't want to try any new tricks when it was cold because I didn't want to wipe out. Now I get warm enough with the Thermalution on low that I push myself to try new tricks just so I can cool off. The suit has to have the most benefit for divers. It doesn't matter how warm the water is, if you go down far enough or stay down long enough, you are going to get cold and this suit can extend your dives or even add extra dives.
The worst part about snowboarding for me was getting cold. I hate being cold and getting a heated vest changed how I felt about snowboarding. I can monitor exactly how hot I want with the vest. When I'm going through tress or hitting jumps and getting hot I can turn the vest off. When I am riding up the lift and start to get cold I just turn the heated vest back on. I also love putting the vest on under a hoodie on a chilly day. Disc golf, hiking, hunting, sports games, the heated vest is perfect for all outdoor activities.

The Thermalution undersuit is truly a top of the line product. After trying the Quiksilver Cypher heated vest last season there is simply no comparison. The two thin, lightweight batteries are not even noticeable due to their placement on each side of your body. Within a minute the suit is extremely warm and ready to go. Not only is this suit much more comfortable than the Cypher vest, but it is also incredibly warmer. Another perk of the suit is that if water does flush in your wetsuit, the vest actually heats that water up and makes you even warmer. This vest is definitely worth it and has changed my entire perspective on surfing in the winter for the better!
